Our Impact

Since September 2022, demand for our services has surged by over 60%, now supporting 450+ families per week—benefiting nearly 1,500 individuals. In 2024 alone, more than 1,200 new families registered with us.

We currently partner with over 18 local grocery stores and retailers, resulting in 25+ weekly pickups of high-quality, culturally relevant food.

In the past six months, our food rescue team has diverted more than 400,000 pounds of food from landfills through our food rescue efforts.

Each week, we are proud to offer 6–8 types of fresh fruits and vegetables, enabling families to prepare nutrient-rich, healthy meals with dignity and choice—thanks to the dedication of our volunteers and staff.

The staff are kind and helpful with questions and resources.”

Yen's Story

Yen has been visiting the Renewal Food Bank for a little more than a year. There are six people in her family, including her parents, a husband, and two children. The family migrated here fifteen years ago. She received her citizenship five years later. During Covid, both she and one of her sons were laid off. That left the family to survive on her husband’s modest salary. Not only does she receive food and community support at Renewal Food Bank, but she also helps. She volunteers for three hours every week before the food bank opens, preparing food, and repacking supplies.
